Firewire has solid spin potential and allows for good control. I prefer the hybrid (with a round cross) over the full bed, as I find the full bed a bit on the firm side (but still very playable, no pain, etc.).

I got a packet of this a while ago and am now on my second reel. I am a high school tennis coach and it has become my go to string for not just myself but my players. I string it on the mains and put a nice soft synthetic on the cross.

I pair it with Iso Speed Professional Classic in the crosses. I get a comfortable string bed that offers good access to spin, control, and shot predictability. Two of my advanced students use a full Firewire string bed and will have nothing else. Really nice string. All the different gauges play great.
I have found this string to give me the best control. Not so much great power but I like control better than power. I have this string in one racquet and another more power string in another. While I go back and forth between the two, this string definitely gives me more control. Will buy again.
This string (red firewire 17g) is an amazing MAIN string. Spin, ball grab, feel, & playability duration are all top notch. (so-so on snap back). It pairs very well with kirschbaum PL2, or syn gut in the crosses. I did not like this as a full bed tho. 4.0 hard hitter (5.0s hit harder than me)
noticed ball bounced quite high when brushing the ball on groundstrokes. could kick the ball alot higher and more spin on slice serves. very effective...

Durability wise it is similar to these I have mentioned. This works great as a hybrid string but what I have found is the feel and control with this string is so good I do better with T1 Firewire alone. One of the most affordable premium poly strings available. YOU MUST GIVE THIS A TRY!

These strings has improved my overall game, I can generate tons of spin and my slices stays low. I've pretty much strung all my racquets with Firewire. Thanks Tier One, great product!

What I love the most about this string is how much spin I am able to generate with it. I usually play with the 17G and I can really unload on the ball with top-spin when hittin ground strokes from the baseline. I recommended this string to all my friends in the past and this string set stills stands as my no.1 all-time favorite.

Honestly, I mentioned it, but Firewrie just felt like a much better Cyclone Tour. Like this is how CT was supposed to feel haha. But T1FW out performed the Volkl in pretty much every category. It's hard to make a comparison, there's not many strings quite like it.
These strings do give you the extra spin during those long rallies. Plus the strings really grips on the tennis ball to give that forehand/backhand the excellent topspin to go over the net. They are quite durable, I am impressed!

I am very happy and will certainly be interested in getting some more and possibly even to sell to other stringers in Australia. I am a full time coach at 3 clubs in Melbourne and racquet stringer at these clubs.
Finally had a chance to string up my Head Speed MP with a 16g T1 Firewire. WOW. Insane ball bite. Not sure if this is even legal. Although the string felt pretty firm I still was able to generate enough pop. Durability and tension stability was great as well. Will be my go-to string in the future!

I just Firewire in a hybrid set up with a more touch/feel oriented string in the crosses, but was also happy when I just used Firewire both ways. If you haven't tried it, drop the tension in your crosses 2-4 pounds to add extra bite on your mains. It will result in more frequent break though as the mains are carrying even more of the weight.

Amazing ball bite, a nice, firm pop that provided great ball control, durability was nice as well. I do have to disagree with your statement on your string package that the string provides optimum comfort and is extra lively! I was able to generate plenty of power but I thought it was not a characteristic that stood out for this string.
